Weekly Reflection #1

After our first class today, I am looking forward to learning about the various technology tools that can support student learning in the classroom. I am particularly interested in exploring some ways to incorporate technology to improve student engagement and motivation. I am also curious to learn more about FIPPA and how to navigate parent and student concerns surrounding digital privacy, especially as technology is becoming so integrated in the classroom environment.

Of all the topics we will be exploring, I am looking forward to learning about Artificial Intelligence and gaining a better understanding of how it can be used in education. I think AI has the potential to be a valuable tool for students, so I would like to learn more about how to use it safely and in ways that will actually support learning rather than take away from it.

One area I am a little concerned about is the number of different platforms this course will use to distribute information. I tend to prefer having information shared in one place, as I find this makes it easier to keep track of course progress and important updates.

Overall, I am excited to get started and look forward to exploring an area of education that I am not overly comfortable with. I see this class as a great opportunity to build some new skills and develop confidence using technology in my instruction.
